Life with the Libster: Winter Again

Winter has returned to southern Ontario...big time. After spending the past few weeks enjoying warm weather, at times close to 10 degrees, we are snowed in and freezing again. It snowed on monday. The weather report called for scattered flurries. Those scattered flurries lasted all day and the flurries came with lots of company like a party where every friend you invite brings a carload of people. Okay, so compated to the snow you folks in Halifax seem to get this year our storm was a walk in the park...but we have been getting used to not having to shovel :) Today is very cold and Libby and I are starting to get cabin fever...maybe a walk to the mailbox will help.
Yesterday we went to playgroup and Libby had a lot of fun. Nearly all the babies are crawling now. They were all over the place, on top of each other, trying to play with the same toys...what fun to watch. Most of the mommies are going back to work in the next few months (myself included), I think we will miss playgroup when April comes.

On the weekend we painted the family room and kitchen. The colour is starting to grow on me. It looks great until we close the curtians...but they don't match the walls anymore. UhOh :) time for new curtains. The family room is painted a light blue - sparkling spring - and the kitchen a shade darker (can't recall the name). We also had Hayley, Jeff and Kylie over for dinner on sunday. Libby had a lot of fun playing with Kylie.

I have lots of pictures to put up...Libby has been very busy. She has mastered walking while holding on to stuff (cruising) and today she walked across the room pushing her piano thingy. That was neat. The first time she did it I was concerned about her scratching up the floors and the I realised what she had done...so I grabbed the camera...who cares about the floors :)

Tomorrow morning is Libby's 9 month check-up. 9 months already! I can't wait to see how much she weighs...and no needles tomorrow...Libby will be happy about that!

Lately Libby has been resisting sleeping...when we put her in her crib for a nap she fusses and stamps her feet and then just keels over and falls asleep...on monday she fell asleep sitting up with her head in her lap...here is how she fell asleep on friday.
