Tornadoes, Toronto and Telephones

Okay, so there weren't any telephones but the alliteration sounded much better with that in the title.
On Friday Toronto and the surrounding areas had a freaky storm. Several of my friends have flooded basements, a large section of Finch Avenue washed away, parts of the Don Valley Parkway were sholder deep in water and there were torandoes, thunder and lightening. The Pearson Airport was shut down all afternoon. I was supposed to fly into Pearson at 7pm. Our plane landed at a respectable 10:30-ish. Not too bad you say...except they kept us on the bloody plane for over 2 hours after landing while we waited for a gate. Apparently they had a backlog of planes landing. Once we finally got off the plane we, and the gazillion other flights that had landed had to get our luggage. It took a further 2 hours to get my luggage. We didn't get home until 3am! And Libby was a super traveller through all that.
